====Configurations from Iso====
-
The configuration files for the current release of ArchBang can be found in the source files. A link to the source files can be found on the [http://archbang.org/download Download] page. Open the downloaded tar file with Xarchiver or File-Roller and look under the '''root-image''' folder for the appropriate configuration file.
+
The configuration files for the current release of ArchBang can be found in the installation iso. You can boot into the installation,  mount your installation, and copy over the appropriate configuration files.  Or you can mount the iso image from within your current installation.  To do we will make a temporary directory, load the loop module (if needed), and mount the iso.
 +

 +
  $ mkdir temp
 +
  $ sudo modprobe loop
 +
  $ sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop ~/archbang-2012.12.03-i686.iso ~/temp
 +

 +
Next you need to unsquash the root image, unmount the iso, and then you can mount the root image.
 +

 +
  $ unsquash ~/temp/arch/i686/root-image.fs.sfs
 +
  $ sudo unmount ~/temp
 +
  $ sudo mount ~/squashfs-root/root-image.fs ~/temp
 +

 +
You can now browse the root image in the temp folder.  When done unmount the temp folder.
